Matthew Weiniger is a Partner, Dispute Resolution at Linklaters LLP.  He is a solicitor advocate who specialises in international arbitration and public and private international law. He has extensive experience in dissecting intricate arbitration cases and has worked under all the major arbitration systems including the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA), International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), Stockholm Chamber of Commerce (SCC) and the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) Rules.

Matthew advises energy companies and governments on the public international law aspects of transnational infrastructure projects.  He also has immense competition experience and has been involved in many high-profile follow on damages claims arising after cartel investigations.

As an exceptional legal luminary, Matthew is a visiting professorial fellow at the Centre for Commercial Law Studies, Queen Mary, University of London and lectures Masters of Law students on arbitration and public international law at the University of London.

Matthew is a co-author of International Investment Arbitration: Substantive Principles, the first comprehensive account of bilateral investment treaties in the modern era and has been described by Chambers UK 2011 as ‘talented’ and ‘tenacious’.
